The Metropolitan Park of Environmental and Educational Activities and Development of Social Economy “Antonis Tritsis” is located in western Metropolitan Athens, within the administrative boundaries of the Municipality of Ilio. The existence of the liquid element in a large proportion within the Park, both in the form of six artificial lakes, and an artificial channel that connects them, which ensures the uninterrupted flow of water between the lakes and its recycling, as well as the rich flora and fauna of the Park, make it a unique place of natural beauty, integrated in the residential fabric. Its characteristics are unique for western Athens, but also for the whole Basin.
